1) Holly: You are an Author of how many books now? Also, their titles?

Lynn: Two that are published so far. Afterthoughts and Left in the Dark. I’m working on the third, Buried Deep, and a trilogy called The Winberrie Journals.

2) Holly: You self published your first book. What made you decide to go that route?

Lynn: My favorite sci-fi author, Piers Anthony, gave me some great advice. If I believed in myself and my story and couldn’t get anyone to pick it up, self publish. Get it out there, get a fan base and see what happens. I did! And within a few weeks, I landed a publisher.

3) Holly: What made you want to be a writer?

Lynn: I love a great story. I’ve had the story line for Afterthoughts in my head for a long time. I finally made myself sit down and bang it out. The rest is gravy compared to that.

4) Holly: Would you recommend any books that would help a first time self publisher?

Lynn: Definitely. Everyone should own a copy of 1001 Ways to Market Your Book by John Kremer.

5) Holly: What company did you use to self publish your first book?

Lynn: I used iUniverse. They were great to work with to send out a very nice product.

6) Holly: How did you come up with the stories for your books?

Lynn: Who knows? I think I was born with The Mind Bending series in my head. I do get a lot of ideas from dreams and imagination.

7) Holly: Any good advice for first time Authors?

Lynn: Don’t ever give up! This is one of the toughest businesses to break in to. You will hear a lot of comments both good and bad. Keep at it and be proud of yourself for it.

8)  Holly: If you had to do it again, anything you would of done differently?

Lynn: I don’t know that I would do anything different. I’m extremely happy with how things turned out.

9) Holly: How many hrs a day do you write/ days a week?

Lynn: Not nearly as much as I should. When it gets down to crunch time, I have to set limits and goals for myself to get it done.
